OVERVIEW

Jordan has seen significant improvements in economic and human development indicators since the late 1990s, but the arid nation is grappling with water scarcity, the needs of the most vulnerable and the flood of Iraqi refugees.

Mercy Corps' water-demand management program helps farmers and rural households finance projects to improve their water use efficiency. We're also supporting afterschool programs in rural Jordan and providing relief and educational opportunities to extremely vulnerable Iraqi refugees.
